Fried Rice

Chinese fried rice is a key componet of many Chinese food recipes, simply by adding cooked chicken, pork or prawns the dish can be transformed into something new.

Ingredients: One cup of cooked Rice
cooked chicken, pork or prawns
Scrabled Egg
cooked peas (handfull)
dark soy sauce
1 small chopped onion
Carrot sliced as sticks
half a chopped pepper
Oilve oil (or ground nut oil)
Soy sauce
  • First step is to stir fry the onions in 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • After one minute or so add the chicken, peas, pepper and carrot sticks
  • Add soy sauce to taste
  • Once the mixture is heated up, remove it to a spare plate
  • Next step is to fry the rice
  • Add several tablespoons of olive oil (or ground nut oil) to the Wok. I think it tastes better with more oil.
  • Mix the scambled egg with the cooked rice
  • Once the Wok is VERY hot add the rice/egg mixture
  • Keep Stirring it! add the soy sauce to taste
  • Once its cooked add the meat/vegetable mixture prepaired earlier
  • Mix it all together, then serve.
