Fried Rice
Chinese fried rice is a key componet of many Chinese food recipes, simply by adding cooked chicken, pork or prawns the dish can be transformed into something new.
| Ingredients: | One cup of cooked Rice |
| cooked chicken, pork or prawns | |
| Scrabled Egg | |
| cooked peas (handfull) | |
| dark soy sauce | |
| 1 small chopped onion | |
| Carrot sliced as sticks | |
| half a chopped pepper | |
| Oilve oil (or ground nut oil) | |
| Soy sauce |
- First step is to stir fry the onions in 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- After one minute or so add the chicken, peas, pepper and carrot sticks
- Add soy sauce to taste
- Once the mixture is heated up, remove it to a spare plate
- Next step is to fry the rice
- Add several tablespoons of olive oil (or ground nut oil) to the Wok. I think it tastes better with more oil.
- Mix the scambled egg with the cooked rice
- Once the Wok is VERY hot add the rice/egg mixture
- Keep Stirring it! add the soy sauce to taste
- Once its cooked add the meat/vegetable mixture prepaired earlier
- Mix it all together, then serve.
